Job Overview:
The Qualified Professional (QP) serves as the supervisor of the Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) and Paraprofessionals (PP). QPs are the first point of contact for CPSS and PPs. The QP will assist CPSS & PPs with clinical matters related to servicing consumers. This may include but is not limited to: assisting in finding resources, assisting in care coordination, and consulting CPSS/PP on how to help consumer’s barriers/behavior/emotional issues. QPs provide insight and guidance for CPSS & PPs’ professional development and provide monthly supervisions.

Responsibilities:
– Person-Centered Plan & Crisis Plan
– Supervise Certified Peer Support Specialist
– Conduct Quarterly Treatment Team Meetings
– Complete Prior Authorizations
– Complete Discharge Summaries
– Fulfill Crisis Phoneline Duties (2-week rotation)
– Monitor & Report Reassessment Needs
– Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations regarding client confidentiality

Experience:
– Previous experience with prior authorizations
– Familiarity with Microsoft office and Medicaid/Medicare
– Knowledge of behavioral and mental health
– Ability to multitask and great communication skills
– Bachelors Degree Required
– Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client privacy

– Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
– Advocate for clients’ needs and rights within the healthcare system

Experience:
– Possess certification as a Certified Peer Specialist Required – Highschool Diploma Required
– Previous experience in a similar role is Required

– Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team – Must have reliable transportation

Assessors MUST:
Complete telephonic/virtual Comprehensive Clinical Assessments (Biopsychosocial Assessment) for current and prospective clients
Assessors have knowledge of how to employ, score, and interpret associated screeners (PHQ-9, GAD, LOCOS, ASAM) to assist with appropriate level of care treatment recommendations
Finalize assessment and upload to charting system within 72 hours of assessment completion
Have at least 1-2 year of direct mental health care or 3+ years of indirect care Active Unrestricted or Provisional Licensed in State of North Carolina as:
Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Associate (LCSWA)
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) or Associate (LCMHCA)
Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) or Associate (LCASA)
